Description:
WW1 Lord (Field Marshal) Kitchener Doll. Governer General of the Sudan, fought in the Boer War then served in WW1.


a) Army solidier doll. Bisque head, hands and (brown) boots. Stuffed body. Cotton army green uniform. Wearing puttees over boots to knees, so doll probably dates to WWI. 4 pockets on jacket. Leather belt with pistol holder, has bled and stained uniform. Ribbons for medals over left breast. Faded red lapels on collar with brass buttons. Same buttons down front of uniform.
b) Gun — approximately 11" long wooden gun, painted black. Paint worn off on backside. End of barrel has also had top half of tip broken off.
c) Jacket — Army brown wool jacket with collar 6 brass buttons down front, in pairs. 2 pockets at waist. Cuff on inside of arm with 3 brass buttons and red felt trim. Gathered slightly at back, with a band with 2 brass buttons running across back of waist.
d) Cap — Army brown cotton on a cardboard and canvas frame. Faded red hatband. One small brass button on left side, with a small piece of broken leather. Probably had a button on other side as well, with leather strip running across front. Black plastic peak with gold trim.
