Virtual Summer Programs

July 7, 2020 - July 24, 2020

We’re not able to open our museum doors yet so we’re trying something new this summer and providing some online events for you to take part in in the comfort of your home. We hope you’ll join us throughout July for some fun virtual programming.

Registration is free but we welcome and appreciate any monetary donation you feel is appropriate.

Art Class with Linda will be on Tuesday, July 7. Linda will teach participants how to draw the front view of a human face. Through the 50 minute video, Linda will explain how to look at your model’s face and transfer it to paper using pencil. All materials needed will be posted on our website and social media prior to the class. (Additional information)

Reptile Kingdom, taking place on Tuesday, July 14, will feature the reptiles the museum normally has living in our children’s gallery. In a 10-15 minute video, Mike London will talk about the different species and their impact on the environment.

Circus Camp will take place July 20-24 for up to an hour a day and will be a mashup of circus, theatre, dance, and games. Class will begin with a game, include stretching, some acrobatics such as somersaults, some juggling, some dance, and a craft or drawing. Participants will be welcome to use the props suggested, but we will also bring reference to household items participants can use.

More information will be posted here and on social media throughout the month. Please e-mail with any questions.
