The Welland Historical Museum seeks to fill vacancies on its Board of Management. We invite nominations from leaders in our community to serve for a three (3) year Board term.

We are looking for strong leaders from diverse backgrounds:

  • Who reflect the demographics of our service area – City of Welland and Town of Pelham
  • With previous not-for-profit board and/or museum volunteer experience; and
  • Representatives from the corporate sector, public sector or not-for-profit agencies.

Particular skill sets sought include: 

  • Event Management;
  • Health and Safety;
  • Finance;
  • Fundraising;
  • Marketing.

If you are a young adult who is passionate about history we invite you to join our Board. You must be at least 18 years of age and reside or work in the Niagara Region.

The Board meets a minimum of 10 times per year on the third Wednesday of the month for approximately two hours. Our Annual General Meeting is held in addition to these meetings. Each member also sits on at least one committee that meets regularly throughout the year.
