Party Package Price List:

Packages include:

  • Exclusive use of a party room for up to 2 hours
  • Themed activities lead by a party host
    • Fairytale (ages 4-7)
      Hear Ye! Hear Ye! All Princes and Princesses are invited to your birthday child's Royal Proclamation. Guests create their own crowns to prepare for the royal parade through the Museum announcing their special day!
    • Ocean Adventure (ages 5-9)

      • Discover the ocean depths as we prepare for a fishing expedition in the Museum. After catching their limit, Master Angler certificates are rewarded to each child. Back on shore, kids create an ocean keepsake.

    • Treasure Island (ages 5-11)

      • Young pirates begin the party by making a pirate hat and telescope. The adventure continues on the high seas in search of map pieces or clues hidden throughout the Museum. The recovered map pieces or clues will lead party guests to the location of their prize.

    • Dinosaur Hunt (ages 5-11)

      • Birthday guests become Palaeontologists, recovering dinosaur bones hidden throughout the Museum. The birthday child carries the official "back pack" holding the found pieces until all have been recovered. Kids must then piece the dinosaur back together.

    • Space Explorer (ages 6-12)

      Blast off into outer space! Astronauts-in-Training earn their "gold Star" by creating alien slime, capturing the universe in a jar and making film canister rocket ships.

  • Exploration in the Museum's galleries

Prices:

  • Non-Members: $10.00 per child
  • Museum Members: $8.00 per child
  • Adults: free (1 adult required per 5 children)
  • Note: Price does not include food, decorations or party favours, please feel free to provide your own.
  • Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of time to set up.

Party Checklist:

  • Call or email the Welland Museum to make a reservation. Please have a tentative date and time ready.
  • Make arrangements for the deposit. We accept cash or cheque.
  • Decide on food requirements.
  • Think of something that will make the kids identifiable (we suggest stickers). This will make it easy to find them in the galleries.
  • Ensure there is enough adult supervision for the kids attending the party. We require a 1/5 adult/child ratio.
  • Finally and most importantly, Have Fun!

Party Policies:

  • All fees must be paid 2 weeks prior to the party (cheque or cash only).
  • The Museum requires 7 days advance notice of cancellation, or 50% of the total cost will be retained.
  • All birthday parties must be accompanied by 1 adult for every 5 children.
  • All food allergies must be clearly identified prior to the birthday party.
  • All food and drink must remain in the party room.
  • Any significant damage to the room or site will be charged to the person who booked the party.
  • The Museum reserves the right to deny admission or exclude from the premises any individual(s) whose behaviours negatively impact on the Museum, its guests, volunteers or staff.
  • The Welland Historical Museum is not liable for any losses or injuries incurred during the party.
